MOH WTF!?!?!?

All joking aside, YOU HAVE A DODGY DVD DRIVE! It's been said already but you seem to be too angry to actually read the replies.

Buy a £20 replacement, slap it in, and I guarantee the problem will go away.

And turn the encryption on your wireless back on, it's not causing problems either ;)

Straight from the EA forum ...

"Got errors reading the disk on install? The Binaries\DFA.dll giving you a bad day? This will allow you to install the game through safe mode. I suggest trying to disable AVG first and then try to install, but if your like me and it that doesn't work (even uninstalling it didn't work), here is what to do:

(1). Re-boot your comp into safe mode (press F8 during start up).

(2). Choose safe mode from the list provided.

(3). While in safe mode open up the run window (windows key + R) and type in "cmd" and press enter/ok.

(4). In the command console window that opened up put in the following:

REG ADD "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Minimal\MSIServer" /VE /T REG_SZ /F /D "Service"

*What this does is add a registry key that will allow the windows installer service to work in safe mode*

(5). Next enter the following into the command console:

net start msiserver

*What this does is start the windows installer service*

(6). Once it says the service has successfully started in the command console you can close it, and install your game while still in safe mode.

Give that a try OP.

yes blame a game for your ineptitude in
a) not re-installing windows
b) investigating your dvd drive

Considering it's a known fault with the game, what good would re-installing windows do? Do you re-install Windows every time you get a new game?

considering he said this:

every time i buy a new game i speed hours trying to install the thing wtf happened to good all click install and no problems jesus christ

his pc is clearly broken, so YES in his circumstances I would re-install windows on a fresh hdd and check his dvd and equipment whilst he's at it.

Do I personally do it with every game I buy? No of course not you dumba**. Perhaps if you'd read what he actually typed instead of jumping up your *** you wouldn't of just posted something so stupid.

Obviously he's exaggerating because he's angry about this game, try and tell me you've never had a bit of trouble installing a game occasionally?

Re-installing Windows wouldn't fix his issue with this game, considering it's a KNOWN FAULT with this particular game.

im going on what the OP has been saying, not what I think the OP means.

actually no, bc an install is literall and few clicks, wait and play.
its really not a difficult concept if you even remotely take care of your pc.

Remember, protections like Securom put deliberate errors on the CD to prevent disc copying, and they change the error locations with every game. Sometimes a DVD drive that works with all other games won't read files on one of these DRM'd discs

I had the same problem with Assassin's Creed, and Crysis Warhead thrashes my drive like crazy when it's trying to install because of the same issue.

its a joke its a dvd version last time i buy from anyone but blizzard

btw ive tried to end the process on my avg mini programs but they keep comin back wat can u do?

Crikey, if you're never going to buy a game again unless its from one specific company who releases like 1 game a year then you're going to seriously miss out on some great games.
