So i decided to save more of my money this year by making my own food and bringing it in, i know, who would have thought it....

Sadly, my palate only extends to cheese sandwiches....Mild Chedder ones at that.

The past few days ive been going to the supermarket and buying food anyway, purely because my cheese gets moist and condensation even appaers on it, even when i put it in the fridge. I just find the concept of moist sweaty cheese wrong and disturbing, so i bin the sandwich :(

Could this be down to the klingfilm i put on it ? is foil better? a solution, to save the cheese please.

Don't look, just eat.

You could try wrapping the sandwich in grease-proof paper. My cheese sandwiches were never sweaty.

I like cheese when it's like this. reminds me of my childhood, going to the zoo/seaside and mother dearest would bring sandwiches, of which the cheese had sweated.

Otherwise, MTFU, it still tastes the same and is an utter waste!

It depends on the cheese, but cheddar needs to breath so it will go sweaty wrapped in cling film. Suggestion:

Soft, semi-soft, and semi-hard cheeses, like brie, havarti, or cheddar, should be wrapped in wax paper or a paper towel to give them room to breathe, and then in a plastic container. You may even want to store the cheese in a container which isn't properly sealed to allow some moisture to escape. Alternatively, it may be safer to store the cheese in a sealed container, but be sure to open the container every couple of days to release moisture and ensure the cheese's freshness.

Chri5, thanks for being the only one who provided something useful, will give it a go next week :D

I'm very fondou of cheese, I'll eat it in almost any state, edam if it's covered in sweat.

I love the cheese puns, teleme more!

The cheaper the cheese the more it will sweat. Try more mature cheddar as this will be drier anyway. Either way, sweaty cheese isn't bad for you. On camping trips I've eaten cheese that was unrefrigerated for several days.
