mole in garden

We had one in our garden that kept pushing up our small slaps out the front, waited and smacked it with a sledge hammer - no more mole.
 
Round up all the creatures in the garden and interrogate each one in turn.
A towel over the face and a bucket of water works well.

You'll soon have your mole.
 
I had this a few years ago. Get a mole trap, one of the scissor ones. Find the run, cut out a section of the turf put in the trap. Cover trap with dirt, flatten all the raised areas and wait until you see the trap has worked. Job done. Its amazing how small the hole is they go through and it's perfectly round.

A couple of days before I flattened all the raised areas to get a feel for the run it would keep on using.

Dawn and dusk they seem to clear the runs out.

A friend goes out with a shotgun and waits till he see's the earth move then shoot it... (must have the patience of a saint)

Apparently an old workman of ours used to do the same but used his boot heel...

I have not used traps personally, but the lad who does ours will bury the traps for a couple of weeks before hand to get the new smell off them.

Strychnine mixed with live worms was the daddy until the laws changed.
 
The humane thing to do is not tell your wife you've killed the moley woleys.

Humane traps don't work, never had one that did. All the good engineers are working on machines which brutally kill the pest.

Whens the last time you met an engineer who campaigned for animal rights? Exactly :D
