Molyneux: 'I am a failure'

Well, the first game by Peter I played was Black and White and I really enjoyed it. The stupid Sequel though was a different story. I thought the buttonless interface was great, especially having to do all the gestures but then that all got ripped out of Black and White, this was deffinaitely a case of one step forward two steps back. However, I don't think Black and White 2 was ever going to live up to the hype generated after Black and White 1.

Fable 2 is probably going to be similar in that anything which was enjoyable to do in 1 will probably be gone. I think he's using some combat system similar to The Witcher as well which doesn't bode well. A rythms method where you have to tap the buttons in time to what you see in order to pull off increasingly powerfull attacks.

Populous + My Amiga = Heaven. The first game to take me beyond reality.

Molyneux, has for the most part been an excellent designer,
I simply loved the Dungeon keeper series and it is a vast shame they fell into the idiotic hands of EA, shame bullfrog was lost :(.

I have to say Black And white was one of the most over-rated games of all time, it was good yes but not as good as half the reviews where making out.

By the time we get to Fable, I was overly excited with anticipation, he promised the world yet delivered a minor fart, i was very disappointed with it. Since that was released I have chosen to ignore anything he has said about his upcoming titles.

I don't think anyone out there has anything but very fond memories of Dungeon Keeper, but most of his other games are a definite case of his reach exceeding his grasp. I've no doubt he has big ideas but it might be that time/costs/hardware capabilities keep him from doing them justice. Games like Black and White were just a bit boring.
