Yup, he can lose a long time and stay for slicks, however if it showered a little and favoured inters he'd be completely boned. He's throwing away a near certain 2nd place for a huge risk to go for 1st.

And Ricciardo is 3 seconds a lap faster than Hamilton.

Utter disaster for Hamilton whichever strategy they choose. He's only just got enough space to come out in front of Rosberg... if they drop him behind Rosberg I suspect there will be a little bit of bleeping over the radio.

Thing is if Hamilton has to go to Inters then he might end up behind Rosberg anyway and he'll have throw away another 10 seconds to Ricciardo.

Ultrasofts would probably be better on the track at the moment, but would wear much faster.
