Monaco to be scrapped?

I can highly recommend F1 Fanatic for anyone who wants a good F1 site. Run by one guy who has only just given up the day job this year to concentrate on the site full time. He's well deep into race and team analysis after every GP and is a nice guy too! A Proper fans F1 site!

Pitpass has gone downhill. I too get fed up of the constant "'Pitpass' financial editor Chris Sylt" etc etc...

As much of an insight as the chap has into the sport, please drop it!! lol
Yep.

And yep :) I have pimped F1 Fanatic a few times on here :)

I think F1 cars have outgrown the circuit anyway, aside from history and prestige it doesn't really offer much in terms of racing excitement anymore.

It does sound like Bernie is just trying to get them to dust the cobwebs off of their wallet though.

I will never understand why you have to pay to have someone come and use your facilities, surely it should be the other way round. Bernie pays the track to stage a race there that day and then he gets to keep the gate money, while track keeps his money and the track-side advert money

Is F1 intent on destroying itself?

Its fast becoming a complete mockery with its own arrogance.

The last GP was so soul destroyingly boring, and that was with me using my technique of watching the F1 on my SKY box so I can just fast forward and catch the "highlights"

I think its in serious danger of alienating both the teams and the audience, and in all honesty good riddence if it did implode.

I used to love F1 with all my heart, but its becoming less and less fun to watch now.
