Aye, the golf diesels ive driven have a very distinct power band, much like a two stroke engine.
The Fords feel like they have quite a flat torque and power curve.
(clockwork injection) so it just doesnt go worong and it can rev really high! i can get 110 out of it (take about 5 minuets to accelerate to that speed) and i can comfortably cruze down the motorway at 90mph with all my m8s and our luggage and i can get from north wales to ashford on less then 30 liters of diesel
