I see your boring Mondeo video and raise you an Austin Rover video ft. Noel Edmonds and the "most stylish estate car ever designed!"
This thread is also lacking in rust.

Ah, much better.

Cuddly and warm on the inside? :p

Matt82, nothing wrong with that. Just because someone might own a £50 Fiesta or £300 Rover, doesn't mean the owner can't feel proud of it. After all, you own an old Golf GTi don't you? ;)

I think that every time you post about the horrifically bland Mk3 Golf - the car where even the GTI and VR6 are virtually indistinguishable from the dross at the bottom of the range.

VR6 is not the same as the other drivel. I dont think it's plain or bland!

Might as well put a picture in the thread, everyone else is:

Different lights?

I think thats it for external cosmetics, I woun't go into the other areas!

But yeah pretty subtle to be honest, not exactly glaring differences i suppose.

Anyway back on topic (if there is one anymore?!)...

Your two pictures proved my point - the VR6 looks virtually identical to the base model, save for the usual things like alloys and black plastic bumpers. Doesn't look special at all, simply looks like 'A Golf'.

They did the same thing to an even greater extent with the Mk4 - the GTI is virtually identical to the base models (Anniversary excepted but too little too late, it was a limited run model, it should have been the standard GTI).

Like them or hate them at least you can easily tell a Mondeo LX from a Mondeo ST200.
