money saving tips

I love eFincanialCareers, I once got a news letter emailed to me from them detailing how to prepare your spouse for a poor bonus compared to previous years :D
 
Must be a joke right? As nearly all those tips are pointless, stupid, obvious, or all 3.
 
Tip 20 is excellent - saving £100 a year on your road tax by spending £20,000 on a new Prius is definately financial prudence.

I forget where I read it, but I'm sure the article said it would take 10 years of ownership to actually off-set the cost of purchasing the vehicle :o

STOP SPENDING IT

My wife needs to read this:( She has been made redundant and is getting about £35k. She has already started spending it before she gets it. I have just managed to persuade her not blow £12k on a 2 week holiday to Disney Land.

That is ludicrous! surely that money is for you guys to live on until she finds a new job not spend in on trips to disney land!!!!!!!!:confused::mad:

the recession is over for bankers so none of this applies.
