Conclusions
Out of doubt, HIS iClear is hardly necessary for normal operation of a computer. Ideologically, it's a modding component. However, unlike various LEDs and transparent inserts, this filter can indeed produce a positive effect on PC operation, no matter how small it may be in a given configuration. The afterlife of the iClear and its possible counterparts will depend on many factors, including retail prices (prime costs of this device must be low). But we can say one thing for sure - bundling such components with graphics cards can make them more attractive.

Lol. The best thing they can compare it to is an LED and a transparent pc window :D. Sounds like they had difficulty justifing it to me . . . and since they cant really write a bad review and say worthless (libel!) they have said that.

Reducing electrical noise can increase components lifetime...

But this looks like a waste of money and an expansion slot tbh.

It would always come in handy for somewhere to keep all those stickers which come with your new parts.

How long until we see Fatal1ty branded versions of these?

"With unparalleled noise reducton technology this card provides me with the extra edge I need to frag! Never again will I have to worry noise generated from my video cards when I'm pulling off my next kill..." :p

Don't be amazed if they use the exact same words :p

theres a few ways i recon it works.

it either makes more noise than ** card, so u cant hear ** card. or the actual material the oversized card is made from dampens the noise? idk lol

either way... 40 quid'ish ?!??!? who thought of such a thing, and the fact that they thought it would sell....!

Now, for sound cards I could actually see the point. For video cards in this digital age with our DVI connectors leading to TFT panels, how much interference can there possibly be? It's not like my old CRT that wobbled when I waved my mobile in front of it! :p

why did you wave your mobile phone infront of the screen, u know it cant see the phone right? :P

cant believe the producers of this thought this was a good idea, i'd be suprised if they sold 5 units.
