I have a HP 2475w for a while now connected to a Mac Pro and I'm struggling (and getting annoyed with) the calibration options on the monitor and the Mac software. Is there anything that can do it for you (?) or any non-expensive color accurate calibration devices that I could use. I've got pretty a poor judgment of what looks good and don't really have much to reference against.

I'm constantly finding the picture to be too warm and reddish on the monitor's 65K temp preset and far too blue on the 93K one.

as a low cost device which should give you some decent enough results you could maybe look at the Spyder3 or the Pantone Huey. failing that, you'd probably have to rely on some software means to get the screen at least 'feeling' right
