I know there are a few 'spec me a monitor calibrator' threads out there, but some have specific requests such as multiple monitors etc.

So i'm looking for a calibrator to buy, to use on (most probably buying) the U2311H, and my brothers laptop/sisters pc (but theirs doesn't matter much).

I've tried the Spyder2 which was quite good (the try the monitor calibrator thread), but i didn't like the software it came with. Had to use something else (can't remember what at the top of my head).

So what's a good one to buy?
Will be windows 7 64 bit most probably.
Budget is not more than £100. Cheaper the better, unless a £100 is much better than a £70 one say for example.

I've got a Huey Pro which cost about £70. I'm pretty happy with it, works on a dual monitor setup and fixed the very cool screen on my laptop nicely. Worth a look at I'd say, it reviews quite well.

Some people it seems have been having faulty Huey Pro's and getting a green colour cast? And it's gone back up to £85 on the rainforest, the Spyder3Pro worth the £10 more?

I use an X-Rite Eyeone pro, which from the reviews and tests I saw came out on top. The hardware is the same as the very expensive GretagMacbeth pro calibration and you could upgrade the software later.

i1 Display LT should come in under budget - IIRC though the LT software (slightly stripped version of the full That comes with the i1 Display 2) can't control display luminance, which makes it pretty poor as far as print matching goes.

FWIW I found the Spyder3Elite to be a quite wonderful piece of kit, though I cannot compare it to the Spyder2 that you say you didnt get on with...

Hmmm it's tempting to just buy the Eye one display 2..
Is it worth double the price of a Huey Pro?
What makes it so good? Differences between them?
How long's the warranty with Huey?
