Monitor connections

Hi, I'm looking to buy a Hazro HZ27WC and get an nVidia graphics card to power it (either a GTX680 or 690 or 685 or whatever they'll call it, so i have a question about connectivity...

The Hazro monitor only has a dual link DVI-D connection and for example the nVidia gtx680 has a HDMI, display port and a dual link DVI-I....so what is the best port from graphics card to monitor?

Forgive the ignorance i'm new to this....DVI-I...DVI-D ahhhh! lol

Hi there,

DVI-I just means that this port work with DVI-D (digital) and DVI-A (analogue) video connections. The vast majority of modern monitors use a DVI-D connection (including that Hazro) and this DVI-I connection works fine with this and happily accepts a DVI-D cable into the DVI-I port. As well as this, the DVI-I connection allows you to use an adapter like this - so the analogue DVI-A part can be used to send a video signal to older VGA/Dsub monitors.

For your purposes, the dual-link DVI-I port on the graphics card will work fine with your hazro monitor.
