Monitor Dilemma

So I have a top of the range computer which was powering a Dell 17" TFT and SUN 21" CRT.

I bought a projector which points to the blank wall behind me so i ditched the CRT.

I am now typing this whilst looking at the wall with the projector pointing at it.

I was looking at buying the new Dell 2407 when it comes out.

Frankly, do i need it?

As this Projector can show films amazingly, and play games and work in the desktop fine.

Should i get the new TFT anyway or use the PJ for everything?

Depends really, if you have money burning a hole in your pocket.

If as I understand your post correctly, you still have a 17" TFT for basic windows stuff, and you have the projector for films and games. I think that is pretty much perfect. If you really wanted to upgrade I would say a 19" TFT would be the most to go... unless you really need the extra desktop resolution.

Well i just played Half Life 2 for longer than 5 mins and i can honestly say that my eyes are now burning.

Think i may buy a 24" Widescreen for gaming.

Eyes hurt now
