Built a new PC about a month ago, temps are fine and there have been no issues until now.

Noticed a band running down the length of my monitor from top to bottom about an inch wide that is off colour.

The monitor is not new (about 3 years old) 1080p VGA connection only.

Here are a few pics (not the best quality iPad 2 cam).

First think i would try is try another monitor or another device on the monitor another laptop or anything that can use your monitor that would elimiante your graphics card if the band is till there.

Hope it helps

Failing the above download FRAPS and take a screen shot of the game. If it shows up in the screen shot (remember to place the screen shot on the left of the screen :)) then it's your graphics card.

Personally I suspect your monitor.

Tried a laptop and the band is still there.

Monitor it is, which I am happier about ..... rather it than the graphics card.
