Monitor Flashing

Hello. Yes another thread by me, lol.

As some of you may know I have dual screen now. When I turn the pc on the main monitor flashes on/off about 5-7 times before staying fully on. The main monitor is connected via mini hdmi>Hdmi adapter(came with the graphics card) then a HDMI/DVI cable. The other monitor is a VGA conversion adapter plugged in to the DVI on the GPU then the cable is VGA-VGA monitor. Its not a problem as I just leave it, like I say it only flashed on/off 5-7 times then its fine but is this causing the monitor any damage?

Why aren't you just using the DVI for your main monitor?

I suggest trying a DVI cable to see if the problem persists.

I need the DVI slot available for the other monitor. DVI > VGA adaptor goes in that socket then the VGA cable to the monitor. I may be able to use the hdmi>DVI cable then put the DVI/VGA adaptor on the secondary monitor and connect it that way. That way the DVI slot on the GPU will be free for the main cable
