Monitor for an old man

Hey guys just after a bit of advise, my dad has asked me to buy him a monitor for his laptop. He has £200-£250 to spend what is his best bet

22-24" by size, and Samsung or LG.

Cheers guys I'm not sure if he will need a monitor with the best picture quality as he spends most of his time coding. I think he is just sick to death with a 12" screen lmao. He seems to like the idea of a 24" so is this any good?

I'd go for the dell suggested by skippy. Even if the image quality doesn't matter, the awesome viewing angles make it a very nice monitor to work with. Also, its backed up by Dell's "perfect pixel guarantee" and 3 years of their excellent "replace next working day" warranty, so should anything go wrong you are in the best hands.
