Finished a game of bf3 and came back to desktop to find this.

Card not overclocked and temps are good with plenty of airflow in case.

It looks like a monitor issue but to rule out the graphics card try using the onboard GPU.

I've had something similar on a Samsung 2443bw. Only had vertical lines though (several) ended up having to RMA it. Did find a few posts of people with the same problem on the same Samsung monitor. Perphaps it's a (somewhat) common problem for this particular ASUS monitor as well?

Wow fair play to ASUS i emailed for a rma on monday morning and today im getting my new monitor delivered and the old one picked up cant fault them
