Monitor issues

Once my monitor goes into sleep mode, once i wake it up, the whole screen is full of pixels. Now I assume this is probably the cable? But before I rush out to buy a new one, when I move it about, it resolves the issue. Its being connected by a dual link cable. Anyone has this issue?

Chances are your cable isn't attached very firmly at the monitor end.
