Right so the i7 Lightning build just came through from OCUK. Updating drivers and installing software. I went to plug in the HDMI from the pc to my tv and boom, my monitor cuts out. Bios/startup will display on the monitor but as soon as it goes to windows it cuts out, even if the hdmi to the tv isnt plugged in.

I removed the drivers and went into safe mode and that solved the issue but as soon as i install the drivers again it no longer works. Doesnt even pick the monitor up as being plugged in.

just to note, the pc displays on the tv when the hdmi is plugged in.

If you could shed some light i'd really appreciate it.

Thanks.

So i tried old drivers. Didnt fix it.
Also tried multiple ports. Nope.
tried going to Bios and now they wont even load up. Pressing DEL to get to them and then it just displays a black screen.
Also tried restoring to an earlier version of windows before the issue occured but still the problem persists.

Getting a bit annoyed now as i only got the system today :/

Thanks guys.

Gpu. Seems to be as soon as i reinstall the nvidia drivers it cuts out as ive tried it multiple times now.

Where are you downloading the Nvidia drivers from and how are you installing them.
If you bought a prebuilt system, I would have thought the drivers would have been up to date when OCUK were testing the system for stability.

From the Nvidia website. It started to do it before i touched the gfx drivers. Plugged in the hdmi whilst the dvi was still plugged in on the same row and it went off. Thats when I installed drivers from the official nvidia website to see if it fixed it. Also tried old drivers that came with the gfx card. They extract and then install through an installer.

Have you tried going into Nvidia control panel when windows appears on the TV?
You can select clone and also select your monitor as your main screen. I had something similar, when starting PC, post and bios only appeared on the TV, but once windows kicked in, it appeared on the monitor.

I have but the monitor doesn't even appear. If i uninstall the drivers the monitor works and it appears as a generic non-pnp monitor. Just tried it in my old pc and its having the same issue so maybe its the monitor.
