Hi im new to pc gaming and have an EG 1440p 144hz monitor however sometimes the screen will have horizontal flickering lines througb the middle of the screen. Mostly black in colour. And only seems to happen in certain areas of games. For example when playing warzone it will happen when looking at green areas with trees in. Is this monitor issue or GPU issue?
Thanks in advance.

Could it be screen tearing? Whatever it is, it that fact it only appears during games and at specific points in the game tends to indicate it's not a hardware issue, rather a setup issue ( like tearing ) or drivers or perhaps just a bug that affects your specific setup. I note the monitor is a Freesync, but it's not G-Sync compatible, so you are using an AMD graphics card right?

It happens even when im not moving in game. Just standstill. I dont use g sync or freesync. I have that off when playing fps games. I have a nvidia gpu.
I have a video of it how do i post it into the forum?
Thanks for a reply

Do a web search for somewhere to upload it. Give it a few minutes. Then you can use the buttons in when you are adding a reply to add in a picture.

First thing I would do is try adaptive sync then and see what happens. You never know, it may work with your monitor. Also, have you tried limiting your fps to something sensible in the NVIDIA Control Panel?
