Monitor Problem

Hello there

This morning I turned my PC and monitor on to find that the monitor screen remained black, the PC seems to load fine but I just had no image on the screen at all. Also next to the on/off buttob the green light kept continually flashing which normally remains green (obviously when working!). The monitor is an Acer.

Where is that green light? PC or monitor?

Ideally, test monitor with a different PC / laptop or test PC with a different screen to find which is at fault quickly.

The light is on the monitor, Iam going to try another monitor tonight

Right definatly a monitor problem. Iam using my old LG TV/Monitor and its done me a favour actually! because its much better than my old now broken monitor. I dont know what I was thinking in the first place not using this!

The only problem I have now is now Im using a LG TV/Monitor and having a LG TV in the same room, everytime I use my TV remote my monitor reacts to it! Not sure on how to counter it either!

Electrical tape my friend... or blue tac... or anything to block the IR on your monitor.

LG usually have usable buttons which is handy if you are close to the screen - which is usually true of monitiors and not TVs.
