Hi I've recently purchased a new monitor and since changing the monitor I've had some issues firstly there was some horizontal line flickers randomly happening I then changed the cable to display port and now I randomly loose the left half of monitor which turns grey.

The monitor I'm using is LG 27UD68P 27 inch 4K UHD also worth noting is if I do a screen shot and open it the screen is fine as if it is still there and when powering off the monitor it's fine for anything between 1minute upto an hour somtimes longer any ideas what this could be or should I just return and get a replacement.

Thank you

probs one of the connections inside the monitor.
as you're still covered by warranty, no sense in trying to fix it yourself.

i guess you could try the hdmi port and see if the problems persist?

Sorry forgot to say in original post I was getting the horizontal line flicker through hdmi so I tried changing to displayport and found a different problem so just gonna get a replacement like you said what's strange is that sometimes it won't happen for the whole time I'm on there but then next time it will be just constant no matter how many times I power off or restart oh well

Yeah, anything new that doesn't work should be returned - you don't know what issues will come up as it ages.

If it was an old monitor with a known history of working fine, I'd say take it apart & check the capacitors - a new one may have problem with wiring or sockets.

Intermittent faults are difficult to diagnose.
