Monitor Problems

Hello
I have just bought the AOC G2460PF monitor and have it connected up to my gaming PC. It is connected via DVI to my graphics card which is a Nvidia 1070.
the problem i have is that when i select the monitor to display in 144hz, the screen has a Green overlay and continues to do this until i change it back to 60hz

any suggestions will be appreciated

I have been told that DVI can run 144hz and from research it can handle it?

Unfortunately i only have a DVI cable, the screen has a full green tint to it compleatly covering it.

I do have my second monitor that can only handle 60hz connected, this one is connected by HDMI, is this a problem?
and i will purchase a Display Port cable and try it with that.

Appreciate the help and ill keep this thread updated when i have the new cable
