Monitor Procrastination :(

since when are VRAM and output connectors the measurement of GFX performance?

Well I came to this forum looking for people who knew more about the subject than I do, you are clearly one of them; my understanding was the more memory the better and the output allowed for greater output - a VGA D-Sub clearly isnt going to do 4k now is it :p

I think you should go for a 144hz monitor even though you wont be able to max it out with your currant card you will certainly appreciate the extra smoothness it gives i think buying a 1440p monitor you going to struggle maintaing 60fps:)

These are the two i would consider.

Ironically the BenQ is the one I have been looking at but was concerned about my GFX card being able to give me any major benefits over my current screen (ignoring size ofc).

Hmm, actually that's a good point. You may struggle slightly at 1440p with your current GPU depending on the game. I guess it's going to down to whether your priority is gaming/FPS benefits of 1080p/120Hz vs the productivity/image quality benefits of 1440p IPS!

I think its the first, the gaming/FPS benfits of a 1080P/120Hz :)
