I look after a small computer suite which is used by local colleges and organisations for training.
One PC, with a dual output graphics card, is connected to a projector & an interactive whiteboard for the tutor to use. The monitor has a native resolution of 1280x1024 and the projector has a native resolution of 1024x768.The monitor desktop is cloned to the projector and both have to be set to the same resolution.
The tutors find that the most effective setting for the projector to give the effect they want on the whiteboard is 1024x768 but we would like to be able to have the monitor set to 1280x1024. (The tutor’s machine is soon to be upgraded with a 1680x1050 monitor)
If I was to install a second graphics card in the computer, with the monitor connected to one card and the projector connected to the second card, would I then be able to clone the desktop to the projector and have the monitor and projector set to different resolutions ?
Thanks.
Gareth
