Monitor question

Hi i was wondering what type of monitor is best for gaming. What shall i look for. Is it better to go for 120hz monitor or 1440p whats the advantages and disadvantages. Also for example would a 680 be able to run games such as bf3 on good settings at 1440p thanks

I recommend 1440p if you can afford it. My 27" Catleap is glorious, and works great for gaming too.

A GTX 680 will be fine with BF3 at 1440p too.

What kind of frame rates are you getting and at what settings?

Why is there also a big deal for 120hz monitor

For gaming I would go 24" 1080 120Hz and a card that can push the frame rates to make the most of it. The smoother frame rate of 120Hz and 1080 on a 24" screen for me works really well*

*my setup needs updating to make the most of it
