Is this possible? Is there a tool that's able to see through the array and retreive the SMART information?

I think it's dependant on the array, I've not found anything yet that'll read the SMART info from my NVRAID array but the RocketRAID software can read the info from my RAID5 array but I'm not convinced it's accurate - it was showing 171 for one of the drive temps 
Now that's got to be a bit out of whack, it's not celcius or farenheit as I could quite happily touch the drive.
I've given up trying to find a software solution and I'm going for a t-balancer to do temp monitoring and fan control.
