Monitor upgrade 144hz

im currently gaming on a benq xl2411t 24inch 1080p 144hz at 120hz with 1x980ti which runs everything fine at the moment.
i was thinking of waiting at getting a 4k 144hz 27/28inch monitor but the price will be very expensive wont it? and also would 1x1080ti be able to handle 120fps in games gaming at 120hz? i dont want sli.
or
do i just get a 27/28inch 1440p 144hz and 1x1080ti? would i benefit much from a g sync one?

or
Acer Predator XB271HUA
both TN pannels around £500 and have g sync and have a hdmi which i need for ps4/switch

Get the Dell as i believe Acer support is pretty bad i love mine and once setup correctly it very nice screen.

1440p is nice step up from 1080p

Its a great monitor but I'm trying to get rid of it lol, whether you go for an Asus, Acer Predator or Dell at 2k I dont think you'll be disappointed

Acer support is bad, I bought a + 3 year warranty on the MM and because I didn't have proof of purchase for the warranty they wanted me to phone them for some reason, they were Indian so I didn't want to speak to them. You'd think that having the right info for the extended warranty along with having the proof of purchase for the monitor would be enough, apparently not. If anything goes wrong with my monitor I don't like to think who I will have to phone to get it sorted with!

i dont need to reinstall nvidia drivers do i as i dont have any g sync on this at the moment

You just hook the monitor up to your card and fire up your machine. It will detect that your card and monitor are g sync capable and then u just turn it on in the nvidia control panel. Don't run Vsync with Gsync on.

Sure, for older games. Newer games, not so much. But you change your GPU much more frequently than your monitor.
