Monitor upgrade recommendations?

Hi guys,

What do you think would be my best option for a new 27" gaming monitor?

I want it to be...
27"
1080p
144hz
1ms
My budget is £300.

I'm not going 1440 because of the price jump.

Iiyama? Never heard of them before. Good prices but will they be any good?

I've seen the 27" MSI monitor and they look really good but I just wondered if there were any better.

Mine has lasted 7 years. Check reviews.

MSI don't make monitors they just buy them and rebrand them....

They probably do what a lot of brands do, buy the panels from other companies and re-brand them. Asus probably does it to.

I have had quick Google, but would have to fully research to back this up.

Anyway look at the suggested panels and see if you like the specs. If you order and not to your taste after reading reviews of course, you can return it I believe. Dead pixels etc.

Isn't IPS the best panel type though? That's a VA panel type which I havent got a clue what VA is but I heard IPS is the best.

IIyama are actually a pretty old company, they used to make the old style glass monitors years ago and took a pretty large share of the market. They were good value, reasonable performance, with good support. But when LCD screens came out they almost got destroyed simply because they weren't geared up to make them. It has taken them many, many years to get back in to the market but all of a sudden they are back in a big way. Once again they seem to be offering great value and good support.
