As per title folks.

I've had a Dell Monitor (bought from here) U2312HM for over 10 years & its served me well. But it cant go on forever and one day it will fail, last thing I want is to search for a replacement & a slight upgrade. I'm quite happy to replace with another Dell, though I'm open to other makes & models.

I dont game on it, web browsing, media viewing & office work mainly, though gaming would be nice to have if I decide to delve into that world again.

Requirements are
IPS, unless convinced otherwise.
Higher refresh rate if possible
Must have a USB hub as my keyboard & mouse are plugged into the current monitor & I have one lead which I can plug into my daily drive or backup PC's.
space is limited, max width 80cm height 50cm. Adjustable would be nice too.

Budget less than £500? I've no idea really

so spec away! :D
Thanks

Dough Spectrum One is probably worth a look as its around your budget and is well specced for an IPS. Can get it with or without a stand so you can use whatever adjustable stand you like. Also comes in matte or glossy versions.

I had one for a bit before I switched to a 32" Mini LED screen.

General specs are

27" 4K HDR, 144Hz Refresh Rate, 1ms Response, IPS Panel, Freesync Premium Pro, USB-C Docking, DisplayPort, HDMI

From the Overclockers range, any of these meet your requirements, although they are a cm or so over your height requirement, but I think a lot of 27" monitors will be:

Gigabyte 27" M27U 3840x2160 IPS 160Hz 1ms A-sync HDMI 2.1 Widescreen Gaming Monitor £429.95

ASUS 27" Rog Strix XG27UCS IPS 3840x2160 IPS 160Hz 1ms Widescreen Gaming Monitor £438.95

LG 27" 27GR93U-B 3840x2160 IPS 144Hz 1ms FreeSync/G-Sync HDMI 2.1 Widescreen Gaming Monitor £448.99

I'm still undecided almost 2 years later, there must have been new models released since my last post.

Spec of said monitor is still more or less the same as in the OP apart from some other added requirements.
Don't want 4k, 1080p or 1440p is fine.

Nothing at 60hz as my current dell does that, I'm convinced that makes me fall asleep at my desk when I'm at home.

Said monitor will be fed mostly by the integrated graphics of a 9600X, the alternative being a 8GB 4060.

I don't want to overspec the monitor if the the 9600x can 'only' output 4K at 60hz, For the life of me I can't find out exactly what said CPU can churn out at 1080p or 1440p hz wise (144hz?) so anything over that would be a waste unless I take 'future proofing' into account, but that's never a given according to sod's law.

I did see an iiyama Monitor in a customers this morning, I liked that.
Been looking at the Asus proart range too.
Because my Dell has has such a long life I'm leaning towards another ultrasharp model.

For some reason I don't like the pointy thin base feet on a lot of these gaming monitors. I like a flat square base.

Thoughts?

VA panels are fine for Windows too. Higher contrast than IPS as well.

Iiyama are decent.

What's your budget?
I did say £500.

Too big. My desk goes in an alcove so idealy a 27" would be better, one that size though would obstruct my Edifier M60's.

I'm tempted by this one though. Its rated the best 27" 1440p monitor on rtings.com

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £546.98 (includes delivery: £7.99)

I've been hunting a new monitor for the past week as my 16yo Alienware AW2310 optX has problems and I have similar usage to what you said in the OP,
An OLED like you've chosen here might not be great for your usage.. Web browsing and 'text fringing' could be an issue, Also i have miniature tabbed pages along the bottom of my display for 10-18 hours at a time which would risk a 'burn in' problem

So i pulled the trigger on an Alienware AW2725DM 27" 1440p 180hz IPS for £209 as it'd also be good for gaming, It has 3 USB ports, It might suit your needs also
