i have a 19" hanns g widescreen at the moment i am looking to upgrade , but do i get a 22 or a 24 inch screen? i am gaming a lot , but dont want to have to stress the graphics card to much i have a single 4870 atm?

and if i need a 22 is the samsung on the site the best one to get?

24". the increased resolution and smaller dot pitch (pixels are closer together and more of them per inch = sharper picture) are a bigger improvement over a 22" screen than the extra two inches would suggest.

what about the hanns-g 28inch monitor as that looks tempting for the price, even though i have a 22 already myself

If I was buying a monitor today it'd definitely be the 28"er. Great value for the size, reasonable specs and a nice resolution:size ratio for desktop work (I prefer bigger text etc so 1920x1200 on a 24" is a bit small for my liking). Similar to how I don't get on with 1280x1024 on a 17", but 19" is OK.

It really depends how you are sitting at your monitor. If its on a computer desk and you sit at the desk, then getting more than 22" will be silly, even a 20" is better in this case.

rubbish lol. the 24" is perfect on a desk imo

Funny, I guess people have different perceptions of these things. I went from a 19" CRT to a 22" widescreen, and I wish I got a 20" Widescreen. I keep having to tilt my head and your not supposed to have to do this.

In fact I feel quite a fool sitting in front of such a big thing...and this is coming from somebody who has a 50" in their main living room but there, theres enough space to sit back and appreciate the view and it doesn't dominate the room.
