Monitor upgrade

I have one of the generic 24" monitors (not from here, but the same one as the OCValue 24")

I wanna upgrade to one that has better connection options (hdmi for example) and that can play blu-ray without using some program to circumvent the HDCP stuff.

I was looking at the dell S2409W 24" as it seems very reasonably priced (even more so here than from dell)

Can anyone tell me if the monitor is a "downgrade" on picture quality. I'm not too fussed about viewing angles as I'm the only one looking at it. It's quite hard to buy something like this without being able to see it in action.

Thanks,

GiR

EDIT: I have a GTX260 card so the resolution shouldn't be a problem - Uses will be Watching Bluray movies (finally starting to get a few!), Playing World of Warcraft and occasionally dabbling in other recent games (fallout 3 for example).

why would a new 24" monitor be a downgrade from a generic 'value' 24" monitor???

its stunning for PC games. not so much for dvds or xbox 360 games.

haven't tried bluray yet.

but it should be much better than your current screen
