Monitor upgrade

Hey guys,

I've been tempted to upgrade my monitor and I have found this https://www.overclockers.co.uk/benq...descreen-led-monitor-black-red-mo-098-bq.html

It's on sale, very tempting, very good reviews and it Will be a massive upgrade from my 22' Benq G222hdl
But I've been wanting to try out 1440p but prices are steep. I have a gtx 970 and play a lot of FPS games. How much is a difference between 1080p and 1440p?

Recommendations would be great as well

. So many options and I'm finding it so difficult haha

i have looked at this monitor before when I wanted 24" but now I think I want 27" as I use my monitor for pretty much everything.

It is the same res though, so you are getting the same amount of image on the screen.

If you use the monitor for everything (watching movies/editing images also etc) then AOC do a 25" 1440P IPS screen - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/aoc-...creen-led-monitor-silver-black-mo-029-ao.html - which should also make a nice monitor to game on.

But if gaming is the main use then I would suggest trying to stick to a 144Hz screen.

You have a point there with the same res and I definitely want to go for a 144hz screen
