Hi

currently i have 3 x 24" 1080p monitors, all used and one of them doubles for console gaming.

i was looking at upgrade to 4k and seen a nice 24" 4k IPS etc monitor, but have read about people saying not to buy 4k at 24" but rather to up the size.

so i was looking for peoples opinion on this. I have space for the 3 24" ones but anything bigger will mean dropping a monitor and i would rather keep the 3 but i don't want to up them to 4k if its going to pointless and that screen size.

what is everyone else's view on this?

thanks

Personally I don't think the increased pixel density at 24" would be worth it.
Perhaps an ultrawide or even super ultrawide (like the Samsung C49RG90) might be better. That sort of screen might be good at mimicking your triple monitor setup without bezels.

That Samsung one is an impressive size.

would be used for work and then gaming would be from PS4 of Xbox and only on one of them for that.

Personally I'd look at a 49" 5120x1440 as that will be like 2 X 27" screens but without the bezel distraction.

Or

A 27" - 34" (2560x1440 / 3440x1440 respectively), for the centre monitor and then keep 2 of your 24's for the sides. Game on the centre one but productivity stuff across all 3 individually.
