I've had a Samsung 215TW for about 2 1/2 years, just recently it's started making an annoying whining/buzzing noise. The noise is there all the time but gets louder if a dark colour is at the top of the screen (e.g. the blue at the top of this page) - If the page is white the noise is quieter, but still annoying. It also makes a whining noise every few seconds on standby, the only time it's quiet is if it's unplugged

Does anyone know of anything I can try to stop it, or is it time to buy a new monitor?
