Monitoring Net Bandwidth

With all this talk of throttling, caps etc got me wondering exactly how much bandwidth i'm actually using on a day to day basis.

What software do you all use? I just want something that run's in the background and will say you used 1gb monday, 3gb tuesday etc

I'm quite impressed by netmeter, it shows everything i want. I'm going to keep it running for a couple of weeks while i do my normal net stuff and see exactly how much i use
