I have put my system back to stock to run some benchmarks and while running Prime 95 i noticed some odd things.

I have been using the Core Center monitoring software which comes with the MSI board and CPU-Z to keep an eye on what is happening while the system is under load. The problem is they dont seem to match up and Core Center is acting strange.

Stock my CPU is set to 200Mhz FSB with X12 multi=2.3Ghz

CPU-Z is reporting it around this mark give or take a little bit.
Core Center is reporting it around the same most of the time but it keeps jumping up to around 221 FSBX12= about 2.6Ghz.

This motherboard has dynamic overclocking and you can also software control the FSB speeds via core center but i have turned all of this off.

Also the V-core voltage doesnt always match (sometimes as much as 0.1 out).

So my question really is which do you think is more accurate?
Anyone else used Core Center and seen a similar thing?
Are there any good alternative software monitors?

My Mother board is an MSI RD480 Neo2-FI.

Hmmm good point. CPU-Z seems to be more or less instant (dont think you can change settings) Core center is 3 seconds and you cant make it quicker.

Just noticed now that the system is ideal Core Center is reporting the FSB dropping to 118Mhz (cpu-z says its around 2.4ghz mark).

Im starting to think Core Center is just a bit crap :)

Tried a couple of other programs last night but none of them seemed to do the job properly. Anyone know a good resonably accurate monitoring program or 2 i could check out?

Great thanks i will check them both out. I have tried 4 or 5 that i could find and none of them seem to match up completely :)

Might have to end up using a whole bunch of them to try and make a best guess to what is actually going on.
