Not a LE26R73DBX ?

Remind me of the difference between the R73 and R74 series? I am 100% sure I settled on the R74 out of those 2 but can't remember why.
The none X, the only diff is the bit at the front, on the R73 it's blue, on the R74 its silver. I prefer the blue.

It's LE26R73BD btw, I got the letters the wrong way around.

Ahh yup that was it :)
Have you got it up and running? what do you think of it, or is it on its way?

Bah JL won't do a good pricematch for the 32 inch Samsung. The shop price at the place I did the PM with was £800, best they will do is £999! Even though other people have got them to sucessfully pricematch! So much for never knowningly undersold.

I'm going to take a leap of faith and get the 32 inch samsung from [er, a competitor I think] for £729 thankyouverymuch. Should be here next Monday. Yay! \o/

It's no hassle really, £15 is £15 at the end of the day :p

It's off the price before discouts too so more like £26 before admin fee.

Is this 26" model good for pc gaming as well? no ghosting issues etc. with FPS games or anything?
Sorry if this has been asked before, i'm pretty sure it has and people have confirmed it's fine, but I just wanna make sure :)
Thanks

i just got a LE26R74BDX delivered on monday. it looks great for pc gaming & xbox360. no tearing or ghosting.

now that i have had it a few days my 2 issues with it are:

1) the max resolution of 1368x768. this sounded fine to me as i was using 1280x1024 on my old 18" tft lcd. but because the screen is so big the pc desktop is screaming "higher resolution please!" at me.

i dont think this is an issue that can be solved as such because i think all hdtvs in a similar price range have a max resolution of 1368x768.

2) my gamecube through the standard nintendo scart lead is very poor indeed.

i have not had time to research this, but my old 18" tft lcd did the same (but not as obvious because it was a smaller screen).

I reckon the X is just used so that retailers that are part of the DSg group on the high street can say ooh we can't price match that becuase it's a different model. I have found this many times before trying to look up specs of electrical items from these companies, often you just won't find the same model elsewhere but will usually find something identical but named differently rather easily.

As to Samsungs being a budget model, I beg to differ. Mine was 2k and I tested it back to back with the current sharp's, philips, toshiba and sony bravia and it stood head and shoulders above the others.
