edit: the hardtube bending kits for £184 and £78 respectively.

Why do they both only work with 13mm or 16mm tubing, whats so bad about 14mm? It just so happens that I want to use 14mm tubing

I wouldn't bother with these kits tbh, depending on what you want to do with your bends, I usually tend to have 1 max 2 bends per tube, and you can do easily without these. 14mm is fairly new, I believed was introduced by Corsair, and those kits are old

Well yeah I guess. But the reason I'm going 14mm is because I want the black satin black tubes and it seems corsair are the only ones offering that but they dont say on any of product pages for their fittings or even the tube itself what the inner diameter is, It seems from the overclockers product page that its 10mm ID, 14mm OD?

They don't even say what the inner diameter is on any of their product pages for fittings either, actually no one else does be it XSPC or EK etc! So does it not matter what the ID is for hardline 14mm OD fittings?

I used 14mm tubing when I switched to hardline tubing a couple of years ago and used the very reasonably priced XSPC kit for my bends (you will need a heatgun). Very important is to have a bowl of water with washing up liquid in it to wet the bending rubber so you can get it out again after bending. Also important is to chamfer the end of the tube and wet it before inserting into the fittings. I used Mizucool 14mm tubing (I believe it's rebranded Barrow tubing) from Ebay along with 14mm Barrow compression fittings from the same seller. The Barrow fittings have four O-rings so they aren't going to leak in a hurry. The biggest tip I can give you would be to take your time and plan it out carefully.

Ok thanks, wasn't sure about barrow fittings but plenty of people have said they're good. Yeah I'm planning it NASA style. I've bought the case already so I can see whats going to work. So many choices and considerations...

I have the Monsoon kit and if I didn't buy that/Acool kit was in stock I would have bought that, transfer your measurements to a jig board and secure down some mandrels and bend away :)

Barrow fittings are extremely high quality. So is Bykski.

Well I'm definitely buying those 3d rulers from Monsoon. They're the only people who actually made videos of how to actually transfer the measurements.

Can you mix fittings/adapters from different brands?

Yes you can mix fittings from different brands but it's really best to stick with the same brand tubing and fittings as they all seem to have their own ideas when it comes to actual sizes. When I used 16/10mm soft tubing I used 16/10mm compression fittings from different manufacturers and some were very loose despite supposedly being the same size. I have heard the same thing stands with hardline tubing which is why I chose Barrow fittings to use with Mizucool (rebranded Barrow) tubing. I suspect that Barrow fittings are made in the same factory as Bitspower fittings as there are many identical fittings and other components.

Im going for the black satin corsair 14mm tubes. I want gold fittings but 'dat Corsair tax 'do! £24 for 2 x 90deg. Where do you source your barrow fittings from? the uk sites don't seem to have a full range of byski, bitspower
