Monty Python reunion!

I'm not quite sure how Graham Chapman is going to be involved but I'm sure they'll make that interesting.

Sometimes things are better left as they are so not to ruin it. Hope this doesn't tarnish their legacy.

Mixed feelings. On one hand I think too much time has gone by for this, Flying Circus is so fondly remembered but there are serious rose tinted glasses in play. I watched some full episodes recently and there was an awful lot of filler/pieces that just aren't much good. If you watch the classics for which they are remembered as a highlight reel there is real genius, but coming back together after so long I'm not sure it could be replicated in a one-off show.

On the other hand... It's Monty Python and I think I'd probably be unable to resist trying to get tickets for it and watching just on the off chance that its something brilliant.

This year, Cleese sold off his art collection and completed an Alimony live tour, to help pay for his divorce from his third wife, American psychotherapist Alyce Faye Eichelberger.

Jones, 71, told the BBC. “We’re getting together and putting on a show – it’s real. I’m quite excited about it. I hope it makes us a lot of money. I hope to be able to pay off my mortgage!”

This screams "We've run out of money and could do with resurrecting some bits to cash in again" to me... I'm intrigued, but negatively skeptical.

I really hope they don't destroy fond memories.

I don't get why them wanting to do a show of their back catalogue is any great problem, sure as eggs is eggs there will be a market for it. Just like ageing rock bands playing their old songs, no difference whatsoever.
