It shouldn't need any introduction.....

Surreal and controversial comedy about a man named Brian who is mistakenly hailed as the Messiah by a trio of not-so-wise men. Doomed to a life of public exposure, he is doggedly followed by a troop of admiring worshippers. At the time of the film's release, the glaring parallels with the life of Christ caused controversy on both sides of the Atlantic.

:D

So much to love about this film, one of my all time favourites. The biggest laugh about all the controversy is that it takes the **** out of peoples attitudes towards religion (and other forms of control), not religion itself. Yet many religious leaders took offense as if it was aimed at them and 'their' own religion personally, rather than a parody on how religions are formed and how people are easily manipulated and controlled. A must see for everyone I think :D

One of my favourite films, and I think, one of the funniest films ever made.
It doesn't matter how many times I watch it, I still cry with laughter!

I have to agree with molinari on that.

Years ago when us lads used to go down town on a Saturday night we all used to meet up at someone's house and stick Life of Brian on and down a big bottle of Malibu and coke between us all before staggering into town.. Ahhhh the good ol' days!

My dad took me to the pictures to see this back in 1980 something. It was a being shown as the second film in a double feature, remember them?, but beforehand I'd only wanted to go because of Life of Brian and didn't really have a clue or care about what the other film was that was going to come on before it. Turned out the extra film was Airplane! "Shirly you can't be serious" etc. Hows about that for value and a superb surprise bonus at the time. If anything I guess Airplane! was supposed to be the main feature thinking back.
