Went to see this last night, found it really funny and entertaining!

Anyone else been to see it? If so, favourite part?

i REALLY want to see this
i am a huge, huge python fan

there are a load of the songs up on the website
(one of my friends who has seen it, says that you can see most of the best bits on the internet, would you agree Maccy?)

Mate, just go - it's great.

I haven't checked for clips online but I imagine you can. I bought the soundtrack cos the songs were great, some really funny (a good one abouts Jews).

Definitely worth it :)

I thought Spamalot was a real disappointment. There's plenty of better shows in the West End, in my opinion.

The old material is still incredibly funny but the new parts seemed out of place. The new material is very American in its style of humour and utterly unpythonesque. The Americans in the audience loved it but none of my friends found it particularly funny. We all like American comedy but it was like walking into an Olde English Pub and finding the cast of Cheers.

A lot of it is lifted straight out of the film. The funniest bit is probably the opening scene.

I saw it in New York almost 18 months ago though so it may have been changed since then.

I went to see it last night and found it most amusing. I've never really seen any Python stuff except the odd clips on stuff like 'Channel 4's 100 greatest comedy clips of May 15th 1973' and had pretty much avoided it as i figured it couldn't live up to the reputation. However I shall now make an effort to watch the python films. First act was definately better than the second though I thought and the lady of the lake was in it too much.

A girl on my course saw it last night and told me about some 'hilarious' scene involving a gay Lancelot and a disco, I think each time I pretended to laugh I died a little inside

I saw it at Broadway in Manhattan about a year ago and thought it was brilliant. Can't remember favourite bit, but I thought the whole production of it was superb and the acting excellent. Really worth a watch!

THIS THREAD'S NOT DEAD YET

I went to see this on Wednesday and I thought it was very good.
Python were always a 'male' thing and women didn't usually get it but the most laughs seemed to be coming from the females including my wife who doesn't find Python funny.
I had to laugh at the bloke behind me who said to his wife 'I've put this film on about 100 times and you've said it's boring but now you're laughing at the same jokes'.
She said 'Yeah but this is the theatre, it's different'

Like some of the people above, saw it in New York years ago. Me and my Dad loved it, but got the impression many people didn't get it at all. We had an American friend with us, and a lot of it went over her head. We loved it though. Had the best seats in the house too, they weren't cheap!
Was going to see it in Glasgow a few months back, but the theatre is an expensive trip and I couldn't afford it in the end.
