Just visited a small museam, at the end I went into their gift shop and noticed they had "moon rock" for sale, and remembered they have these in a lot of gift shops at attractions. Are they genuine pieces of the moon?? For £5 surely not haha :)

No its not genuine. While there is probably moon rocks on earth which came from meteors hitting the moon and the debris failing to earth none has been identified. The only moon rock on earth is from Apollo and its a very limited supply.

I have some beautiful sand from the shores of Titain, they have been created from
years of erosion from the chilling methan seas sweeping against the rocks in the jovian system.

Yours for just £5 a gram. Grab a bargin today!;)

:p

Actually some of the moon rock was given to other countries as gifts from the USA. There wasn't much brought back on Apollo though, around 350kg or so.
