More AM3+ Motherboards

I got the asus M5A99x EVo earlier today sad to say I can not get it to work at all.

update:

the e-retailer where i bought the GA-990FXA-UD5 board from, they tested it and even they said it's faulty, so i got my money back, also i should be receive my Asus Crosshair V Formula today....

I read over at HardOCP that X-Fi sound with Crosshair V has software implementation with a Realtek chip so don't expect too much,you are better off with a dedicated sound card ie Xonar DX etc...

The asus crosshair V formula has 2 Eatx connections (8pin and a 4 pin),

should I connect both or just the 8 pin?

I think the extra 4 pin is for extreme overclocking with Bulldozer so optional.

ohhhh i love this asus crosshair V formula board,

so far no vdoop at stock under load.. i set the vcore at 1.30v in the bios, it ideas at 1.308v and under load it goes to 1.320v....

love it

its new AMD based which replace Phenom II as Bulldozer is the new based for AM3+ which start from 2011 to few years before next new AMD based CPU... it seems the asus crosshair V formula board needs a lot less voltage for 4ghz than the gigabyte board.

why is that?

Have you had any issues?..I saw this thread over at HardOCP http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1616542 ,seems a few owners have serious issues of various sorts where an Asus rep there is trying to solve the issues.
