It is UEFI, it just doesn't look like it. I'm wanting an ASUS board as well (thought not the Sabertooth), partly because their UEFI looks and feels much more thought through but also because I feel very comfortable with ASUS boards in general.I'm leaning towards the Sabertooth,I ruled out Gigabyte since they are still not using UEFI on FX990.

Darn shame they don't seem to be releasing a normal 990FX board anytime soon, I really have no use for a CHV or Sabertooth. I'd rather spend ~£120 and get 990FX and a decent UEFI and that's it. Guess I'll go for the M5A99X if nothing shows up soon. I really need a motherboard for the second 5850 I've bought.![]()
It is UEFI
That might be a more apt description I guess. Are you sure? I thought it was hybrid UEFI which is the standard award bios with some kind of UEFI bodge on.
That might be a more apt description I guess.I dunno, I watched a quick hands-on on Sweclockers the other night and it does seem to have quite a few of UEFI's features
That list could use quite a few more boards, to be honest.
Whats with the extra 6 power pins on this board?
I'm looking at the M5A99X, but it doesn't seem to be in stock anywhere in the UK. Might order it from Sweden, they'll have it in stock early next week. They're already selling the UD3.indeed, looking at the MSI 990FXA-GD65 myself . when do they come in stock ocuk ?
