The Khazakstani government has pledged 297Mkr (£22million) to stop the spreading of Borat and the bent view he portays of Khazakstan! :p

They don't claim it is in response to the upcoming borat movie...
The Nomad is the title of the film which portrays a khazak warrior in the battle for glory, freedom and romance. Fighting against Mongolians in the 16th century...
Simultaneously with the films premiere Nazarbayev (the PM) will travel GB and The US on a promotion tour.
Khazakstan has also bought plenty of air-time in BBC and SKY....


ROFL! It cant get more hilarious than this. They really must HATE Sacha Baron Cohen. Do they not realise they are only fueling the whole situation?
I cant wait to see The Nomad.

I really don't see what the problem is. I think Sascha Baron Cohen is a pretty average funny guy but Borat makes me laugh to the point of collapse.

Most countries and regions have a stereotype that is false but people see through it mostly, although when Auf Weidershen Pet was released in 1983, the Oz stigma was pretty hard to shake. :D

Watched the movie today. Wasn't sure what to expect (thought it might drag out a bit) but it was fantastic. Highly recommend it:D
