So, first of all we learn that after only two seasons as a CSI, Lawrence Fishburne is hanging up his latex gloves, and heading off to pastures new. A decision that in my opinion, was a good one, as his character really didn't gel with the whole CSI thing and realistically once they dealt with the whole Haskill storyline, there was little else to motivate him.

Anyway, back to the point, it seems now, that Marg Helgenberger, has also decided that it is time to pack away her fingerprint dust, and go back to being a showgirl, as she has announced that she will not be returning after season 12 (which starts in the US at the end of september).

First Grissom, now langston, and soon Willows.. Is this a sign that CSI has finally run its course?

Looks like it. I heard Ted Danson was supposed to be replacing Fishburne, but losing two main characters at the same time sounds pretty shaky. Is Gary Sinese staying on New York? Better merge 3 into one really.

She is staying for one more series. She isn't gone just yet.

They've sold some peripheral characters too so personally I wouldn't mind if CSI was wound down, and as much as I enjoy CSI Miami it doesn't seem to have returned to the epic story arcs of the first few seasons, I'd keep New York though.

It had run its course by the end of Series Five and the massively over-rated Tarantino episode. All sense of genuine emotion had gone by then, to be replaced by CSI-by-numbers. I finally gave up during Series Eight. Time to bury - but only on top of the corpse of Miami.

NY is OK although I'm not warming to Sela Ward's character at all, find her quite annoying/patronising to be honest. Adam Ross being a gibbering wreck most of the last series is also something I wish they'd change.

Didn't Mac 'Wander Off' at the end of last season NY??.. will he come back!?!... I think CSI-Vegas has run its course now, and Miami is just the 'Horatio Caine Show' but I like NY!, it'd be a shame to loose any more people!...

Dunno I think they need to just wind em all down now, and find summut new!!.. before they really get ruined!!.

I like how the shows put some characters in mortal danger in the series finale.

Must make haggling the actors contracts down a bit easier... :D

It's always been borderline crap.

This really, it treads a very fine line.

I always liked Miami the most tbh. Horatio Caine is a pretty ridiculous character but also a truly great one imo. It's almost best to watch it as a parody.
I got to around season 5 of Miami but the storylines were just getting silly.
Quite liked New York too, but never really been a fan of Vegas tbh.

Does anyone else find it really annoying when they keep explaining the same things.
For example one of the assistants will say to Caine "when someone stabs someone, they almost always cut themselves" and i'm thinking, you have said that hundreds of times in the last year, and why are you even telling the boss, HE ALREADY KNOWS!!!:D

Cant stand miami, (apart from eva la rue), prefer vegas the most, particularly the grissom episodes. New york is ok, but tbh ,gary sinise can do a lot better than a tv show, a very good actor.

Transfer Nick and Brass to NY, lose Adam and maybe Hawks and close down Vegas and Miami. Sorted.
