i'd take a fun arcade game over forza 2 any day, but thats just me
Agreed but i cant make out if i like what im seeing from this game or not

Iv said it on the forza2 thread give me the new burnout this month over forza any day of the week:) ( I am looking forward and wll be buying forza2 but i do prefer my Arcade racers:)

can i be the first to say that DIRT look's blinkin' awesome!

I loved that video, and also....what slowdown!!? I didn't notice any at all.

Really looking forward to it now :)

Graphically it looks amazing, but appears to be runing like ****. That barely looks 15fps, let alone 30.

I would be happy with 30fps and those graphics TBH.

As for the physics, it defiately looks Arcade bent, but that's always been the case with the CM series.

Still looking forward to it, I just hope it runs nicely.

I think the in car view looks excellent, usually it's only outside views I like for arcadey games.

It's a shame it doesn't include a few rally sections like the GT games actually. But I digress.

I wouldn't like it if they put rally sections in Forza tbh.

EDIT: If you watch the Subaru Crossover vid, at the end you see the driver and the co-driver and the co-driver has no face, haha. Wonder why?

The controls look absolutely abysmal :(
That's what i thought in the first part of the vid, the guy driving has no clue and is just throwing that Subaru into the corners. If it was realistic handling he would be off in the first hedge. Looks really arcadey doesn't it, but again on the inside view it does seem better. Saying this, perhaps this is what we need, 8 nutters on a small mud/gravel/asphalt circuit all bumping, jumping, grinding into each other. It does look like fun if anything else :)

you're severely blinded by your ignorance if you couldn't tell that the framerate in that video is below playable.

But it's most likely the video itself and not the game, a game hasn't been releeased with framerates that bad since Turok 2 on the N64

i'm not ignorant at all thankyou very much. i honestly couldn't notice any slowdown. the framerate was low, but the perfectly playable side of low. but there was certainly no slowdown.

this is gonna be awesome and i for one cannot wait to play dirt. 30 fps or not.

come on release already!!!

Although it's got nothing to do with 'power'.. I think the PS3 version is going to be a bit better on this one..

I think CM are struggling with their graphics engine, and it's going to be released on the 360 first, considering the whining they are doing over the 'next gen console' thing, I translate that as "our game/graphics engine isn't optimised", with the PS3 version coming along some months after, I can see plenty of probably welcome tweaking will be done...

It's the same as Virtua Fighter 5, they released this first on PS3, and have now spent some time 'tweaking' it, to the point it now looks better on the 360 due to it coming out months after and having time to improve things.

Really looking forward to this and Forza, about time we had some decent racers on the 360, have played PGR3 and TDU to death now!

i've already said in another thread with info taken on comparision of said title that the 360 version isn't better than the ps3 version.

Also really looking forward to this game.
The handling might not be perfect but at least we've got a decent Rallying game coming to the 360.
Ive been waiting ages for a rallying and formula 1 game for the 360, i know due to copyright issues formula 1 may never arrive but rallying is here :)

It may be arcadey but I think it will be a welcome change, not everyone wants pure simulation. Everyone to their own though, ill be buying this for sure.

It also works with the wireless wheel, so with this and forza June is going to be a fun month.

Exactly, I'm a bit fed up with all the asphalt only racers out there which don't even include my beloved F1. Generic racers just don't do it for me (i.e. nfs etc) it either has to be rallying/offroad, touring cars ish (Forza 2 near enough) or F1 of course. I will be getting this on release day just because it's not the same old same old that we already have on 360. It may be Sega Rally for the win, but not yet it aint and until then, this will have to do.
