I always picture EA as a little kid saying really funny things about the world when growing up. You look at them, give a really sarcastic smile, tap them on the head and say "Im sure youre right"....

They skip away all happy with themselves, when really.....they dont have a clue.

The say it every time each generation of consoles appears. Just leave the wallies to it.

It doesn't matter how amazing the games are, the will still have a strangely brown hue to them.

The thing is, they're right. Look at the Steam hardware survey, and Steam users are probably in the top bracket spec wise when it comes to PC gamers

He's talking about the architecture, which is technically true as its based on Jaguar which is the generation ahead of currently available APU's available to PC users, and the graphics portion of the GPU's are custom, and probably using parts of the yet to be released 8 series GPU's, so again technically correct that they are a generation ahead.

The 8-10 times more powerful quote is regarding the leap over current gen consoles not current gen PC's. Which is entirely correct.

Gotta love marketing.

Well hes actually probably right - you cant just compare specs here, but more about how the systems use it. I can quite possible imagine that at this time they are a little ahead of pcs, but obviously wont be for very long.

The same rubbish was hyped about the PS3 cell processor before it came out - it was all about the revolutionary, custom-built architecture.

Consoles are ahead of the average 'gaming' PC, but a top end 'gaming' PC will blow a console out of the water.
